I'm affectionate at this one, again now. Electrocuted by 90125, i adventured myself in Yes fields. A week after i bought the MC of Fragile and at the first listen was like a baton on the head. Needed about ten listening and then the illumination, my brain opened the doors of perception. My love for Yes never falled down. For the listening of the first two albums i had to wait until around 1988-89 when Atlantic starts to license all Yes discos on CD. Close To The Edge and Fragile are reputed classics but i consider also the first two album as classic. They have a sweet and genuine nature and created an unique style from Beatles and jazz influences. Like the first two genuine works of Genesis. The Yes earned a lot with Steve Howe entrance but they lost a lot also with loss of Peter Banks. Unrepeatable times. The 1969 video of Beyond and Before from french TV is the best that i've seen from Yes.

With tenderness to Yes and Peter Banks.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
